The approach

Present, not directing

I work one step back from everything. That means you get your day rather than a version of it arranged for a camera — the speech that went off-script, the friend who cried before the vows had even started, the ten minutes you two stole outside.

One filmmaker, all day, no crew moving furniture around. By late morning most couples have stopped thinking of me as the videographer and started treating me like one of the guests — and that is usually when the day really starts to open up.

Sound

Your voices, your music

The vows and the speeches are recorded properly, on their own microphones, so your film is carried by what was actually said on the day.

The music comes from the day too — the song you walked in to, the first dance, whatever the band were playing when the room finally let go. Your film should sound like your wedding, not like a stock track laid over slow motion.

Five to eight minutes, cut to the vows and the speeches. The one you will share, and the one you will rewatch.

Full ceremony & speeches

Both in full, edited from multiple angles with clean audio, so nothing said on the day is lost.

A teaser within a week

Sixty seconds, delivered while you are still away, so you have something to hold onto before the full film arrives.

Yours to keep, properly

Private online gallery, unlimited downloads in full quality, and archived for ten years. No expiring links.

How it works

Simple, from first email to final film

Step one

Whether I’m the right fit

A call, or a coffee if you are nearby. No pitch — I want to hear what your special day actually looks like, and you want to know whether I am the right person to film it. We should both come away sure.

Step two

The date is held

A twenty-five percent booking fee holds it, with the balance due four weeks before the wedding.

Step three

The day itself

I arrive during preparations and stay through the first dance. I blend into the day rather than direct it — you get on with getting married, and I work around you.

Step four

Your film arrives

Teaser within a week. The full film within eight to ten weeks, with one round of changes included.

A short excerpt, cut in black and white. Sound on, if you can — it is half of what makes a film feel like the day rather than a slideshow of it.
